Photographer: Robert Cavallo

Biography:
Robert Cavallo originally became involved in the Rock 'n' Roll era from the other side of the lens as the drummer for The Messengers, a Motown recording artist that released its first album on the Rare Earth label. While traveling on tour, Cavallo always kept a camera at hand to capture the best moments on and off stage. When the group disbanded in 1971, Cavallo returned home and joined his father’s photography business. Utilizing his concert promoter connections, Cavallo rarely missed a concert and captured great bands such as Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Queen, Pink Floyd, and The Who. Cavallo’s photographs offer an interesting perspective only gained from his intimate first-hand experience in the cultural and historical happenings of the Rock 'n' Roll era.
