Photographer: Larry Kaplan

Biography:
Larry Kaplan has a vibrant history from being deeply embedded in the Rock ‘n’ Roll scene of Detroit, Michigan, and the rest of the country from the 1960s on. While in college, he successfully transitioned from video to still photography and shot Alice Cooper as his first cover for CREEM magazine. Kaplan’s photographs have been published in numerous magazines and newspapers including The Detroit News, People Magazine, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and many more. He has always felt that the more you love music, the more music you love. His collection includes multiple music genres with artists like The Rolling Stones, Warren Zevon, Stevie Wonder, Talking Heads, Alice Cooper, and The Who. Currently, Kaplan commutes between Michigan and California as an Executive Director of trade associations and is looking forward to sharing his archive from the heyday of rock and roll.
