Biography:
Born and raised in New York City, Ken Kaminsky began shooting rock concerts after moving to Detroit in the early 1970's. He was first published in CREEM magazine, but since has contributed many photographs to newspapers, magazines, and television shows. He continued to photograph rock and pop icons into the 1990's and worked as a commercial photographer shooting stock images of pop culture, sports, and politics. A few of his favorite performers are Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, Warren Zevon, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, The Tubes, and ELO. In addition to his photography career, Kaminsky worked extensively in the public health and education fields. He currently spends his time in Michigan and Florida.
